Crypto & Web3 Glossary

Plain-language definitions of the key terms used in the JNDA ecosystem and the broader blockchain world.

APY

Annual Percentage Yield. The real rate of return on a staking or savings position over one year, accounting for compounding. In JNDA staking, APY is frozen at the time you stake.

BEP-20

The token standard on BNB Smart Chain, equivalent to Ethereum's ERC-20. JNDA is a BEP-20 token.

Blockchain

A distributed ledger where data is stored in linked blocks and validated by a network of computers. Once data is written it cannot be altered without consensus from the network.

BNB Smart Chain (BSC)

A blockchain network operated by Binance that runs smart contracts with low fees and fast transaction times. JNDA is deployed on BNB Smart Chain.

Cold Wallet

A wallet that stores private keys on a device not connected to the internet, such as a hardware wallet. More secure than a hot wallet for storing large amounts.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Financial services built on blockchain networks that operate without traditional banks or intermediaries. Staking, liquidity pools, and token swaps are common DeFi activities.

Gas Fee

A fee paid to the blockchain network to process a transaction. On BNB Smart Chain, gas fees are paid in BNB and are typically very low.

Hard Cap

The maximum amount of tokens available for sale in a presale round. Once the hard cap is reached, the presale closes. JNDA's presale has a defined hard cap per stage.

Hot Wallet

A wallet connected to the internet, such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet. More convenient but less secure than a cold wallet for long-term storage.

Jonanda Coin (JNDA)

An AI-integrated Web3 digital-asset ecosystem built on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), with a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, staking, referral rewards, and JNDA AI Core™ as its educational assistant layer. See the full definition and key facts at jonanda.com/what-is-jnda.

KYC (Know Your Customer)

Identity verification process used by financial services. JNDA may apply KYC requirements in certain jurisdictions as required by applicable regulation.

Liquidity Pool

A collection of tokens locked in a smart contract to enable token trading on a decentralized exchange. Providing liquidity earns trading fees.

Lock Period

The duration for which staked tokens cannot be withdrawn. JNDA staking offers flexible (no lock), 30-day, 90-day, 180-day, and 365-day options.

MetaMask

A popular browser extension and mobile wallet that supports Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain. Compatible with the JNDA platform.

Non-custodial

A wallet or service where you control your own private keys and funds — the platform cannot access them on your behalf. JNDA is non-custodial.

PancakeSwap

A decentralized exchange on BNB Smart Chain where tokens can be swapped and liquidity can be provided. JNDA is planned for listing on PancakeSwap.

Presale

An early sale of tokens to initial supporters at a set price before public trading begins. JNDA's presale allows purchase at a fixed price per stage.

Private Key

A cryptographic key that proves ownership of a wallet. Never share your private key or seed phrase with anyone — including Jonanda Coin team members.

Referral Code

A unique code assigned to each JNDA user. When someone uses your code to purchase JNDA, you earn a referral reward.

Seed Phrase

A sequence of 12 or 24 words that backs up your wallet. Anyone with your seed phrase controls your funds. Store it offline and never share it.

Smart Contract

Self-executing code deployed on a blockchain that automatically enforces agreed terms. JNDA's token, presale, staking, and vesting are governed by smart contracts.

Staking

The process of locking tokens in a protocol to earn rewards. JNDA staking freezes the APY at stake time so your rate cannot decrease during the lock period.

Token

A digital asset built on an existing blockchain. JNDA is a token on BNB Smart Chain with a fixed maximum supply of 1,000,000,000.

Tokenomics

The economic model governing a token's supply, distribution, and utility. JNDA tokenomics define how tokens are allocated across presale, staking rewards, team, and treasury.

Vesting

A schedule that releases tokens gradually over time rather than all at once. JNDA team allocation is subject to a 12-month cliff and 36-month linear vesting.

WalletConnect

An open protocol for connecting mobile wallets to decentralized applications. Supported by the JNDA platform.

Web3

A vision of the internet built on blockchain technology, emphasizing user ownership of data and assets rather than control by centralized platforms.
